“I am genuinely excited about the roles we fill for our clients, and that I am able to build relationships with amazing candidates. I feel truly lucky to get to do the work I do every day.”
In 2008, Angee created Linsey Careers with the goal to provide the best recruiting and career coaching services for marketing and communications leaders.
An experienced comms pro herself, she understands the sector and what it takes to be successful in it. She is a three-time recipient of the Silver Anvil (including “Best of Show”) – the top honor conferred by the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).
Angee has been a featured presenter at forums ranging from the Microsoft Worldwide Partners Conference to IABC and PRSA international conferences – and at academic institutions from Columbia University to the University of Washington and University of Missouri, Columbia.
She served for 25 years in the military with the unusual mix of being a U.S. Army journalist and then a Navy Reserve Public Affairs Officer.
This experience gave Angee a global perspective, a lifetime’s worth of great stories, and a love of high-stakes assignments – all qualities that have served her (and her clients!) very well over the years. It also informed her recent book, “Dare to be Deliberate – Level Up Your Communications Career.” In this guide for mid to senior communicators, Angee interviewed 10 comms executives to share their career stories and offer insights and advice for those who want to be more intentional in their career journeys.
Angee graduated from the highly regarded School of Journalism at the University of Missouri, and went on to earn a master’s degree in career development.
She continues to travel widely, taking photographs and exploring new cultures. Closer to her home in Seattle, Angee enjoys hiking around the Puget Sound with her Goldendoodle, Leo.
